The Education Advisory Committee of the Orange County Firefighters Museum announced the recipient of the 5th Annual Orange County Fire Prevention Educator of the Year Award in preparation for the reception being held at the museum on June 6, 2015.
Congratulations to James E. Ferguson of the Montgomery Fire Department who has been chosen as the 2015 Fire Prevention Educator of the Year.
Jim is a 30 year veteran, past chief and current commissioner. “Teaching fire prevention and bringing life to ‘TANK’ are two of my favorite parts of the job” he said.
This is the 5th year that the Orange County Firefighters Museum & Fire Safety Education Center have honored Fire Prevention Educators at a gala held at the museum on June 6th from 5 to 7 pm.
Jim will join past recipients Frederick “Mike” Hoffman, Goshen FD 2014, Chad Quackenbush, Warwick FD 2013, Barbara Gasperetti, Coldenham FD 2012 and Amy (Conner) Kosturik. Tickets are $20 per person and include, beer, wine, appetizers, music and a silent auction. Please join us in honoring them, call 457-9666 for tickets.
